A rare opportunity to meet a Senator

OK, so, in the next week I will have the chance to meet with Senator John Warner on business related to my profession. My profession is not related at all to international politics or anything broadly political. My profession has nothing to do with that.
Still and all . . . .
. . . I do have political opinions. I believe in things.
Now, my bosses know me well enough to have said "Hey, keep it to yourself, politics-wise."
Nonetheless, I'm a bit torn. What do I say? Should I unload on him, in front of not just people I work with, but a representative delegation from across my profession? Part of me feels like I should; like I have an obligation. But part of me definitely understands the needs of professional propriety. I should say that regardless of the outcome, it's not like I can be fired. However, there are career considerations.
So, Kosacks, what to do? Do I let him have it? I've never had this face-to-face opportunity with a Congresscritter, nor will I likely have it again.
Do I keep my counsel, respecting the fact that I'm with a group of professionals who have their own, professional agendas?
Advice?
